Some United States troops in 100 are in lockdown limited while the investigator investigated the theft of sensitive optical equipment.
Equipment lost included hundreds of night vision goggles and weapons accessories worth about missing US $ 630,000 (NZ $ 795,000), said Major Chris Ophardt, a spokesman for the US Army Corps at the joint base I Lewis-McChord on the State of Washington.
Ophardt said the soldiers, who are now basic confinement on the sixth day, is the size in extreme punishment is intended to cause information.

Those who suspected the arrest could face criminal charges and if convicted, be required to pay back the Government.
